Stefan Deny (1922-1998), physician and inventor, combined both therapy methods in an ideal way. After decades of research work, he invented and developed a modern, easy-to-use device for Pneumatic pulsation massage and applied for a patent.
Stefan Deny's aim was to reach the deeper layers of the tissue and stimulate the body's own regulatory mechanisms. Using a device that creates a pulsating massage movement on the body and stretches the tissue vertically from the inside out, causing the tissue to "vibrate".
The pulsating negative pressure waves, which are generated at a frequency of 3 Hertz, cause the tissue to vibrate mechanically, which can penetrate up to 8 cm deep inside the body (depending on the intensity setting, treatment area and BMI).
Modern pain research now recognises the importance of connective tissue and fascia. Stefan Deny was way ahead of his time.
