These unique conditions make Finland the perfect place to grow high-quality medicinal mushrooms such as Chaga (Inonotus obliquus), Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) and Shiitake.

Our mushroom strains are specifically selected to ensure the highest content of valuable ingredients such as beta-glucans, polysaccharides, triterpenes and antioxidants. The cultivation takes place on a sustainable substrate of Finnish birch, which is FSC and PEFC certified. At KÄÄPÄ Mushrooms, the mushrooms grow under strictly controlled conditions that guarantee optimum results. These processes promote the development of powerful fruiting bodies, which are considered the most valuable part of the mushroom.

Optimum bioavailability

The ground mushroom fruiting bodies are processed with purified spring water in our state-of-the-art ultrasonic extraction unit (UAE). This technology maximises the extraction of bioactive compounds such as beta-glucans, polysaccharides, triterpenes and ergothioneine.
As each type of mushroom - whether chaga, reishi, lion's mane (hericium) or shiitake - has unique ingredients, we customise our extraction methods.
